I discussed the problem with my colleague and we think you should delete ‘shelves/release’ branch form SVN and re-enable the add-on. SVN Mirror add-on tries to recreate it anyway and fails at that point. May this would solve the problem if it is the only one you have.

Deleting the “shelves/release” branch from SVN appears to have fixed things. At least, the mirroring seems to have synchronized without complaint, and it’s caught up to the current tree.
