Hello, we are looking to migrate from svn to bitbucket. our requirement is to have all the history while migrating and needs to be linked as they are in svn. Please get back to us as soon as possible. Thank You.

Both our products – command-line tool SubGit and SVN Mirror add-on for Bitbucket server are able to perform migration keeping all the history as it is in SVN; and not only that, they are also able to keep SVN and Git synchronized while both SVN and Git counterpart repositories are available for commits. Sorry, Talha, didn’t recognise the question in the header. Could you please advise which exact product is affected – SubGit or SVN Mirror add-on? Also, how have you started the trial and what the error exactly do you get?

We are using subgit, we have downloaded it as well using below link. After installing subgit, when we try to run the batch file it does not run, not sure if we are missing in installation process.

Does it show any errors when you are trying to start it? Have you had installed Java on the computer where SubGit is supposed to run? Just in case, here are the installation manual for the SubGit tool:

By the way, if your intent is to migrate code from SVN to Bitbucket server, then I would rather recommend trying the SVN Mirror add-on for Bitbucket server instead of SubGit tool, the add-on is specifically purposed for Bitbucket, it’s provides the configuration UI unlike SubGit tool which completely command-line tool.

Our main purpose of migrating is that we need to have everything linked as it is currently now in svn. Can you send the directions of “svn mirror”, how to install that ?
