Repo not syncing?

We just made a major merge into a branch and expect to see those changes applied to several sub-repositories. All the config seems good but I’m seeing the message “No changes after sync 9 hours ago” and pressing “Sync” makes the button disappear but there is no status indicator or change to the message. What could be causing this?

Seeing a 500 in the browser console:

    500

This happens when I click Sync
